Smiles all around!

I wish I had video of all the smiles I saw today and at the Arts and Crafts Show in Sioux Falls. Seeing the children (and adults) having fun chatting with Jemimah and Lily was delightful. And then when the kids would put a puppet on their hand to try their hand at puppetry by making their puppet talk to Lily and Jemimah was priceless. This is just one of the things I LOVE about what I do. I am blessed beyond what I deserve! Of course having Santa and Mrs Claus with us today was an extra blessing!

Weekend Activities

Today Grandma Dori, Lily and I will be doing a show at Fieldcrest Nursing home. Having fun working on this new type of show! Then Friday and Saturday I will be at the Sioux Falls Arts and Crafts Expo. Hoping for a great weekend!
I also want to point out the activity guide for the DVD "Lily and the Legend of Santa Claus" is now available here on the website for those of you who purchase the DVD and wish to have more copies of the guide. Also for churches or libraries who have the DVD available to check out, the guide can be printed off at home by whoever checks out the DVD. Hope this makes things easier. Remember to also print off the finger puppet of Saint Nicholas!

How did it get to be the middle of July already!!

Pockets Full of Fun has been bus since the 4th of July! We have been in Yankton, SD,  Denver, IA,  Centerville, SD,  Alcester, SD and twice to Sioux Falls, SD. It has been the South Dakota "tour".  We will be back in Sioux Falls on Monday July 16 at the Laurel Oak Park for a 10:30am show. Tuesday July 17 is a visit to the Fort Dodge, IA library for a 10:00 am show.
Then on Wednesday we fly to Ohio for the Vent Haven ConVENTion till the 21st. A few days after that is the Ministry Arts EXtra - MAX - conference in Grove City, Ohio. I will be performing and graduating from Ventriloquists In Training level 3 = Performer Elite! I am excited about this honor! I will try to take pictures to share when I get back!
Be watching for the news of the release of "Lily and the Legend of Santa Claus". I will have the preview available to watch on my website!

Puppet Making Class - Le Mars Arts Council

Saturday April 7 and Saturday April 14 are the dates for the two puppet making classes sponsored by the Le Mars Arts Council. Looking forward to another FUN experience!

The Value of Arts in Education

Puppetry is an art form. A wonderful art form!  An art form used all over the world in most every country on the planet. I love advocating for the Art of Puppetry and was just made aware of another article which explains some of the valuable reasons for including Art Education in the curriculum.  Have a read!!
