What's been happening?

My husband and I just got back from Nashville, TN after visiting our son who works at Animax Designs. WOW! What a cool place to work! Some amazing puppets they are working on too! Sorry, but in my puppet workshops we will not be making anything even remotely similar! My son was able to give me a few pointers concerning some of the designs I am working on for the upcoming workshops.

Saturday Pockets Full of Fun will be at Iowa City for the One Book Two Book Celebration of Children's Literature. Lily, Shiloh, Jemimah and I will be performing as well as selling books. Should be a fun day!

Next week will be filled with some practice shows for Summer Reading and then off to Fort Dodge and Washington, IA for the Performers Showcase.

I have some other exciting things in the works - stay tuned to the blog and Facebook for the news.

Busy week ahead!

Lots going on for the weekend! Saturday Pockets Full of Fun will be doing 3 shows in Storm Lake, IA for the library Halloween celebration. Saturday night will be a fun evening at Ankeny Christian Academy in Ankeny, IA. Then Sunday morning a ministry morning at Pathway Church in Johnston, IA. On Halloween we will be doing a special Halloween show for the Sac City library and Arts Council before the trick-or-treating in the historical village. More FUN with Pockets Full of Fun! Hope to share some pictures!

Puppet Workshop at Orange City Day Care


This week I will be helping the kids at Orange City Day Care Center make puppets and perform a little show on Thursday for their parents and families and friends! Lots of fun (and a bit of chaos too!!) Hope to have photos and perhaps a video!
