Smiles all around!

I wish I had video of all the smiles I saw today and at the Arts and Crafts Show in Sioux Falls. Seeing the children (and adults) having fun chatting with Jemimah and Lily was delightful. And then when the kids would put a puppet on their hand to try their hand at puppetry by making their puppet talk to Lily and Jemimah was priceless. This is just one of the things I LOVE about what I do. I am blessed beyond what I deserve! Of course having Santa and Mrs Claus with us today was an extra blessing!

Breaking News!!

We have so very exciting news to share here at Pockets Full of Fun!! Lily, Jemimah, Shiloh and I will be working with Zion Lutheran Church out of Sioux Falls, SD on a TV show for children called "Kids Crossing". It is broadcast on Sunday mornings and we will be doing the opening segment for each show. SO excited about this - even though it will be a very different working with a teleprompter because of the need for closed captioning. Looking forward to this new opportunity to reach out to children all over South Dakota with stories from scripture!

Second bit of news: Pockets Full of Fun now has a theme song! I have been working with Arthur and Leslie Stead and they have written a delightful theme song for me to use in my shows! I will be working on a promo picture video with the short version and a music video with the long version so stay tuned so you can learn to sing along!

This week Thursday through Sunday I will be at the Great Plains Puppet Train conference in West Liberty, Iowa. It is a regional Puppeteers of America conference. I will be teaching one class, leading a puppet making workshop for kids and enjoying lots of new "puppety" experiences!!

SPECIAL OFFER: For those libraries, schools and/or churches who book a Christmas show this year I will be giving a free copy of my DVD "Lily and the Legend of Santa Claus". It will be a nice companion to my Christmas show for 2012. My Christmas show will be available with or without a gospel message. The DVD
does have a simple gospel message as part of the story. I think everyone will enjoy the true story of Saint Nicolas as told by Santa himself!

Lily and the Legend of Santa Claus

Only three summer reading shows left! Then it is on to new things - Pockets Full of Fun will be at the Sioux Empire Fair in Sioux Falls, SD a number of days over the next two weeks. We will be sharing space with Santa Claus! We will have a copy of the video "Lily and the Legend of Santa Claus" playing and will be taking pre orders for the DVD's. The video is finished and now it is being duplicated so we can make copies available to you! We are going to sell them for $10.00 each. There will be an activity guide included with the DVD as well. I hope you will enjoy it!!  It was lots of fun working with Santa Claus!!  Watch the preview!

Here's the Latest News!

Totally forgot to list my schedule from last week! Here is where we were: Hampton Christian DayCare and Preschool, Akron Library, Fairfield Library, Mt. Pleasant Library, New London Library, Burlington Library and Dunlap Library. It was quite a week! I also took a class on the Arts in the Iowa Core Curriculum. Today - Saturday the 30th - we filmed the program "Lily and the Legend of Santa Claus", starring Lily (of course) and Santa Claus (the Sioux Falls Santa). Can't wait to see how it turns out! We are hoping to have it available to sell by August. Keep checking! There will be a preview available here on my website.
Now July is right around the corner! I will be performing at the Star Spangled Spectacular in Storm Lake on the 4th of July. (three shows; 1:00, 1:30 and 2:00)
